Trekking:

 

The Lycian Way is called one the most beautiful long-distance trekking paths of the world. It passes along the road where Villa Frida is situated.    

 

This path is clearly signed and very beautiful, some parts directly situated on the coast, some parts in the mountain pastures in about 800 to 1000m above sea level.

 

Cycling

 

Althoug the landscape is steep, cycling is possible, if you are a little bit trained. There are no special ways for cycling, but even on the main road to Kas along the sea there is not so many traffic. And the other ways, in Esen Valley or up the mountains are with very low traffic, about one car in a quarter of an hour. There is a mountanbike and an E-Bike in the garage of Villa Frida, it is possible to rent. There also some shops in town renting mountain bikes.

 

 

 

Diving

 

The main diving centre of Kalkan is in the bay of Kalamar and only 300m away: Kalkan Diving.

 

 

Skiing

 

The Taurus mountains behind Kalkan are very high, they go up to 3000m in only 30km from Kalkan (air-line distance). The Skiresort Saklikent is 2,5 h away from Kalkan.

 

 

 

Swimming, Bathing

 

There are some beautiful beaches and places for swimming and bathing a crystal clear water, just a small footwalk (200m) away or in the near surrounding of Kalkan (Kaputas, Patara).
