Kalkan
Kalkan is a former small fishing village, which has become a touristic destination since the 1980ies. Since that time many villas have been built around the old town centre, but there is no mass tourism and no big hotels! The old town centre is wonderful restored and there are a lot of very good restaurants. They are good, but not expensive – an evening meal is about 10€!
Villa Frida is about 1,5km away from town centre in a quiet bay (Kalamar), also there are some good restaurants and cafes. Night life in Kalkan is rather quiet, there are only a few clubs and discotheques.
There is a small grocery about 5 min. by feet, super markets are in town centre.

Bay of Kalamar
There is a public access to Kalamar bay about 200m away, with access to the sea with stairs and platforms in the rocks for sun bathing, with a small cafe, where you can rent sunloungers and parasols.
Beach of Kaputas
In a distance of 5km you find one of the most beautiful beaches of Turkey, the beach of Kaputas. It is not very large, but wonderful situated, with an exquiste view over the beach and sea in front of the steep mountains!
Patara beach
If you want to have a very flat and wide sandy beach: the longest sandy beach of Turkey, Patara beach, is about 20km away.
